A trademark represents not only the company it is associated with, but also the capital and good will invested in that company’s products or services. Your logo or trademark may not be valuable yet but may cost a lot of money in the future. If you have not taken the necessary measures to protect it early on, you may find yourself having to spend a fortune on legal fees to gain access to use your own logo or to prevent someone else from unauthorized usage. It would be best to have an attorney on your side from the beginning to register and protect your trademark.
