The Department of Homeland Security announced that the immigration filing fees will increase effective December 23, 2016. The last time immigration filing fees were increased was in 2010. The new rule increases the fees at an average rate of 21%. With the new fee schedule application for naturalization (N-400) will be increased from $680 to $725, Change of Status (I-539) application fees will be increased from $290 to $370, Immigrant Petition for a Relative (I-130) fees will be increased from $420 to $535.
